Whee! I got tagged by

And it looked like a fun survey so I wanted to fill it out. But...I'm not going to tag anyone at the end. Mostly because it involves picking out people to say their artwork "cool" and "cute" or whatever and I am afraid that if I don't say someone, they will feel left out. But if anyone wants to snag this and do it, then feel free to!
Also, I needed to get the "open for requests" journal off my page. I will still do trades or requests if you ask me nicely...but I don't want to advertise it like RIGHT THERE because I am quite busy at the moment. Still, it gives me happies when people like my scrawls enough to actually request something, so I doubt I'd actually turn anyone down for requests...as long as you don't mind waiting!

If possible, your age?
I'm 30. Yes, I'm 30 and I draw cartoons and also have the art skills of a small child!

When did you start drawing?
Erm...as soon as I could hold a crayon, seriously. But...I only started to actually pay attention to how to do it properly and attempting to get books and teach myself the elements of art in very recent years.
Which hand do you use for drawing?
Right hand. Although, fun fact: I used to be nearly 100% ambidextrous when I was younger. I seem to lose it as I get older because I just ended up using my right hand more. *shrug*
Which is easier to draw - male or female?
Female! It's easier because I enjoy it more. I love drawing the beauty that is the female form. Hehehe. And yes, I'm a girl. Fun fact #2: I swing both ways.
Which is easier to draw - long hair or short hair?
Well, long hair is more FUN to draw because it's more appealing to me. (Well, on females. I like my males to have nice short hair.) So we'll say long hair.
Is it easier to draw the head facing towards the right or the left?
I draw most of my heads facing to the left and I don't know WHY! o_O I try to break myself of that habit, but they still end up mostly coming out that way. It's weird.
Is it easier to draw the side view of the face or the front view?
Um...neither. I suck at both. From the front it's too hard to get symmetrical, from the side all my faces end up looking like freakish alien creatures. I draw nearly everything in 3/4 view as a cop out.

What do you have problems in drawing?
Umm...everything?

Backgrounds. Perspective. Hands. Feet. Objects. Nature. I could go on, but you get the picture, right?
What do you like to draw?
CATS! And more cats. And sometimes dragons. But all in cartoon style because I love cute stuff and also bright colours.
Are you a traditional artist or a digital artist?
Both. Although I prefer digital for colouring because it just looks so much more prettyful. However, I cannot sketch on the computer. EVERYTHING must start out as pencil on paper. When I draw on the computer it just feels lifeless.
Where do you start drawing from?
Yeah, what he said:
("The sketch. I doa few lines to roughly place the character and know where their different body parts should be and then I gradually add more details, reposition the body and stuff. Then to the inking, coloring, shading, ect.")
What is your drawing habit that you are aware of?
What he said again! Also, I can't draw at a desk...I sit sideways in my cosy chair with my feet propped up on the wall. Also, music is a MUST. I can't really draw without music. Also, if I'm drawing a scene that is really happy or sad I will sometimes start giggling or crying and sometimes I will have to get up and walk around to get rid of it.
("I make the same facial expressions as my character\feel the same way they do. XD I must really be funny to look at...")
Any tips for coloring/shading?
Trust me. I'm the LAST person you want giving tips. Except that if you're inking comics or cartoon style stuff, I really do recommend Manga Studio!
What music do you listen to while you draw?
Dude. Everything. I tend to gravitate towards Genesis when I'm drawing, but anything that gets my imagination going and puts me in a mood to DO.
How long does it take you to come up with an idea?
Ideas are never the problem.

Stuff pops into my head all the time. I just wish I had the time, discipline, and skills to make all of those ideas into reality!
Your favorite drawing utensils?
When I'm drawing the start of a drawing on paper, it's always mechanical pencil. I'm really fussy about that. Then after that I usually end up scanning the pencil drawing and adding the inked lines in Manga Studio if I'm doing that, and colour in Photoshop.
Your favorite color/the color that you use a lot?
My favourite colour is purple but I don't actually use that in my art a lot. I think I gravitate more toward red and blue. Which I just realised as I typed that MAKE purple.
Your favorite style(s)?
Well, obviously I like cartoons primarily!

But when I'm looking at other art, I love really realistic stuff. I just can't DO that.
What kind of artist are you aiming for?
I guess it's a comic artist that I want to be able to call myself. The comics that I make are what I would call my most precious art, even if they're not amazing...they're most special to me. And I really started drawing because I wanted to be able to tell a visual story. So yeah, when I grow up I wanna be a comic artist...

Thank you. Now please fill in the next columns by writing the names of the artists that match the criteria. Artists tagged must fill in this baton.
I tag whoever wants to do it. I can't single out only some people to praise and not others. I can't! *sob*

Clubs I'm In

Oh man, I love these stamp thingies...behold as I proudly proclaim my love for things:

I'm sorry to bother you, but I just wanted to say that I love your drawing - and - coloring technique and I would like to ask you if it's alright to add you to my watch? I'd really love to see more.

I am me, and nothing can change that.
Unfortunately.
There's always darkness hiding in the light, but there's never light hiding in the darkness.
Wow, that's so sweet of you. I'm always flattered and honoured when someone likes my stuff enough to watch me...believe me, you don't have to ask!
And I'll be sure to return the favour and watch you back, of course.
